From a Kumara hut to Picton

Woke up what Liz-e calls the Kumara Hut, greeted by a marvellous view of Hougton Bay. Home of Wellingtons super pro surfers according to Jeff which is quite believable considering the nuber of rocks.

Had the clutch lever replaced finally and met up with the chp who had taken it upon himself to drive into the bike in the first place. Always good to put a name to a face, and the poor chap was very apologetic after checking that i did'nt play poker in case i was scamming him.
Once aboard the Bluebridge ferry i utilised my two rachet tie-down donated from the bike shop for the crossing. I was particularly grateful for this as i eyed up the unimpressive selection of short bits of thin rope on offer for the job.
That ain't goin nowhere!

As the fery trundled out of Wellington and into the Cook straight myself and a few lucky others spotted dolphins playing alogside the boat.
Luckily the crossing seems quite calm so i can refrain from starving myself..!
However, as i sit hear writing i note some latent twinges of sea sickness so might stop for now.

Shanti boogi...
